Connecting campus to help students persist.

Student Overview

Welcome to MySuccess!

MySuccess is a communication tool used to inform students about progress in class and help students connect to instructors, advisors and campus resources.

Instructors who use Blackboard and choose to utilize MySuccess can provide you indications, early and often, regarding your course performance. The two main types of notifications are flags and kudos. Flags are warning signs meant to alert you to additional action needed within your course. Kudos are positive indicators letting you know that you are performing well in class or are improving your course performance.

The online appointment scheduler makes it easy for you to schedule online appointments with academic advisors, Financial Aid counselors and other staff on campus. Scheduling appointments is an easy and valuable way to utilize KU's resources and help you succeed.

MySuccess allows you to connect to resources listed in your Success Network.

Notification Methods

Completing your personal bio helps your instructors and advisors find common interests and background, making your experience more personal.

Instructors who participate in MySuccess can notify you of your progress in class by sending a flag or kudos. Suggestions for improving academic performance will be sent to your preferred notification location.

Students’ first step should be to create a MySuccess profile. The profile can be created by logging into Blackboard and selecting MySuccess from the Tools module on the left. Or, you may login to the myKU portal and choose MySuccess from the Academics tab. You can then use the navigation tabs to personalize your profile. One advantage to creating a profile is the option to choose your notification method, or how you prefer to receive updates, regarding your progress in class. You may choose to have flags and kudos sent to your KU email, an alternate email of your preference.
